Ask anything. Get an answer you can check.

AsK is a private assistant that runs its language model on your phone. It reads your documents, looks at photos, searches the web when you ask, and shows its sources.

TaLk is a translation app for conversations, travel and everyday messages. Type or speak, and read or hear the translation straight away.

Subscription

How the subscription works, from install to renewal.

Both apps are free to install. A monthly subscription turns on the assistant and the translator. The steps are the same for AsK and TaLk.

  1. Install the app

    Get it from Google Play, or download the APK from this website. Open it and let it finish setting up. AsK downloads its models once; keep the phone on Wi-Fi.

  2. Create your sign-in on the phone

    Choose a username and a password of at least 8 characters. They are checked on the phone. After five wrong tries the app makes you wait before the next one.

  3. Subscribe

    Open the Subscription screen. In the Play Store version you pay through Google Play. In the website version you pay by card on a secure checkout page. PalmAI never sees or stores your card number.

  4. The app checks your licence

    The app asks the PalmAI licence server for a signed licence and checks the signature on the phone. It refreshes every few hours while you are online. If you go offline, the app keeps working for a short grace period.

  5. Renew, cancel or move to a new phone

    The subscription renews itself. Cancel in Google Play, or from the Subscription screen for card payments; you keep access until the paid period ends. On a new phone, use Restore with your subscription ID and email. The old phone then stops being licensed.

Stays on the phone

Chats, memory and document passages are stored on the device and encrypted with a key held in Android's secure storage.

Locked when you leave

An optional app lock asks for your screen lock after you have been away, so a borrowed phone does not open your chats.

Checked, signed, and verified

Licences are signed by PalmAI and verified on the phone. The store checks that the app is genuine before renewing.

Common questions

Do I need the internet?

AsK answers from the model on your phone, so chats and your documents work offline. Web answers, the first model download and licence checks need a connection. TaLk works offline for languages you have downloaded.

Which phones does it run on?

Android phones with a 64-bit processor. AsK runs a language model, so a phone with 8 GB of memory or more gives the best speed.

One subscription for both apps?

Each app has its own monthly plan. If you want both, write to us from the contact form and ask about a bundle.

What happens if my subscription ends?

You keep your chats and files on the phone. Answering and translating pause until you renew. You can still back up and read old chats.

I lost my phone. What now?

Install the app on the new phone and use Restore with your subscription ID and email. The old phone loses the licence.

Can I get a refund?

Play Store purchases follow Google Play's refund process. For card payments, write to billing and include your subscription ID.

Before you write

Android may pause apps you have not used for a while. In the phone's settings, set the app's battery use to Unrestricted and turn off Pause app activity if unused. This keeps AsK answering when you switch to another app.
